Once a Wahoo, Always a Wahoo!
In June 2024, the Wakefield Chapel Wahoos Swim Team hosted the 3rd Annual Wahoo Night, a community event raising awareness and support for pediatric brain cancer research through The Max Pound Foundation. Swimmers, families, and local supporters came together to honor children battling pediatric brain tumors, celebrate teamwork, and contribute to meaningful fundraising initiatives.
The event showcased the Wahoos’ commitment to youth development, sportsmanship, and community engagement. Participants united under the shared spirit of “Once a Wahoo, Always a Wahoo!”, demonstrating resilience, leadership, and solidarity in the fight against pediatric brain cancer.
Through this gathering, the Wakefield Chapel community not only raised essential funds but also strengthened awareness for pediatric brain tumor research, inspiring attendees and supporters to continue advocating for children’s health.
